Chelsea Engberg is a young woman with a passion for aerobatics and all types of aviation. Go Inverted was her brain child, originally conceived in 2003. Chelsea graduated from the University of California, Davis with a degree in history (with a focus on military history). In her senior year she started taking flying lessons and quickly realized that aviation was where she belonged. Chelsea is now an FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI/MEI) and holds a Second in Command Type Rating in the Cessna Citation 500 Series jets.
Chelsea’s true passion in the broad realm of aviation is aerobatics. While she was still a student pilot, Chelsea’s parents bought her an hour of flying with Sean D. Tucker as a Christmas gift. After spending a day with him, she was hooked! She received the ICAS Red Barons Scholarship and began training at the Tutima Academy of Aviation Safety just a few years later. Now Chelsea spends her time working at the Tutima Academy of Aviation Safety as the Business Manager, a Flight Instructor and a student of the art of aerobatics. Her goal is to continue to compete in aerobatics and perform on the air show circuit, sharing her love with others both as a performer and an instructor. With the help of so many including Sean D. Tucker, Bill Stein and Ben Freelove, Chelsea is currently competing at the Intermediate level of competition in Tutima Academy's Extra 300L.
